We are a husband and wife duo based in the West Midlands, combining keys, guitar and vocals to create a rich, dynamic sound that goes far beyond what you’d expect from a
two-piece.
With years of experience performing together, we’ve carefully crafted our sound to offer the perfect balance of sophistication and energy — whether you’re looking for beautiful background music or a packed dancefloor.
Alongside our duo performances, we are also available as instrumental solo performers, offering elegant keys or guitar sets — perfect for ceremonies, drinks receptions and more intimate moments.

Sophie is an exceptionally talented and versatile musician, known for her natural ability to both play by ear and read music with ease. With over 15 years of professional experience, she brings a refined, elegant touch to every performance.
Performing under the name Little Miss Keys, Sophie creates beautifully personalised musical moments, with a repertoire spanning jazz standards, timeless classics and modern favourites. Her expressive playing style brings emotion, atmosphere and individuality to every occasion.
Awarded Musician of the Year (2024/2025/2026) at the Prestige Awards, Sophie’s experience also includes working as an accompanist for schools, supporting GCSE students, and collaborating with professional artists and producers.
Within Ivory & Steel, Sophie combines her keys and vocals to deliver a polished and engaging performance — from intimate, elegant moments to powerful, uplifting sets.
Chris Nicholls
Guitar
Chris is a highly skilled and expressive guitarist, bringing energy, precision, and a modern edge to every performance. With a strong passion for live music, his playing blends rhythm and lead seamlessly, helping to create the signature full-band sound that defines Ivory & Steel.
Over the years, Chris has performed in bands, as a solo guitarist, and alongside a range of live artists, giving him a wealth of experience and a natural ability to adapt to any setting. His versatile style spans across genres—from classic rock and pop to contemporary hits—adding depth, texture, and drive to every performance.
Whether providing relaxed, atmospheric guitar for daytime celebrations or high-energy arrangements for the evening, Chris ensures every performance feels full, dynamic, and engaging.
Working in perfect sync with Sophie’s keys and vocals, Chris plays a key role in delivering a seamless and powerful live music experience. His playing is a key part of what makes Ivory & Steel sound bigger than a duo — creating a rich, immersive live experience.
